Earlier this week Sudan Archives played an amazing set just a stone's throw away from the North Park flagship store. Sudan Archives' infusion of modern electronic sounds coupled with traditional Northeast African violin rhythms captivated the wide-eyed crowd. This year marks a monumental year for Sudan Archives as she tours with New England based band, Tune-Yards, for the remainder of February and March and prepares for her very first appearance at Coachella later this spring. ABRIDGED is a short film shot and edited by Evan Schell that documents a few of our meanderings and adventures from the past year. Thanks again to everyone that made twenty-seventeen a truly exciting and fulfilling experience. It wouldn't have been the same without you.
Sunburnt Reynolds is the pseudonym used by ABC co-founders Kahana Kalama and Billy Wickens to house their experimentation with mood setting melodies. After years of curating retail playlists, hosting pool parties and DJing tropical boogie bashes, they decided it was time to name their rhythmic racketeering efforts and Sunburnt Reynolds was born. The second installment of Sunburnt and Stoked was curated last February for Desert and Denim in Joshua Tree.
